Special Olympics is a national organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. As part of our effort to unify our store's community relations nationally, we have created a set of materials for purchase through the company store that can be used by your store and employees at the event to encourage showing up across the nation as one unified team. A TOWEL, a change of clothes, a bag to put your wet clothes in, and any personal belongings that you wish to bring. If your Plunge is in a river (Eugene, Bend, Corvallis, Portland, etc.), shoes are required.
